Client Background

Tanisha Taylor is a life coach, speaker, and author based in Twinsburg, Ohio. Through Tanisha Taylor Coaching Training & Resource Center, she works with youth in grades 4–12 and young adults aged 18–29, preparing them for adulthood through four pillars: Faith, Family, Finance, and Fitness. Alongside the coaching center, she was preparing to launch her first book, When Parents Aren’t Enough: Bridging the Gap from Teenager to Young Adult.

Challenges

  • The site’s language centred on “after-school programs,” which undersold the coaching work and set the wrong expectations for parents.
  • Contact details were inconsistent — multiple phone numbers and two different street addresses appeared across the site.
  • Several pages still ran an older header and footer, so branding and navigation changed depending on where a visitor landed.
  • Key actions depended on third-party platforms that pulled visitors off the site before they ever spoke to Tanisha.
  • There was no way to promote events, and a book launch was coming with tickets to sell.
  • Contrast and tap-target issues made parts of the site hard to use on mobile.

Our Solution

We rebuilt the site end to end — messaging, design system, custom plugins, and checkout:

Brand & Messaging

  • Rebuilt every page on one design system — black, white, and gold, with an AA-safe gold for text.
  • Rewrote the messaging to lead with the parent’s real worry instead of the service category.
  • Replaced “after-school program” with “Life Coaching for Youth” sitewide.

Custom WordPress Plugins

  • Built TTC Events: live countdowns, Add to Calendar for Google, Outlook and Apple, conditional ticket buttons, and a sticky ticket bar.
  • Built TTC Flipbook: a self-hosted PDF page-flip reader with zoom, thumbnails and fullscreen — no third-party service or subscription.

Conversion & Accessibility

  • Replaced off-site booking links with on-site popups offering tap-to-call and a pre-filled email.
  • Wired the book launch to Stripe for pre-orders and ticket sales, with an invitation popup carrying event details and pricing.
  • Rebuilt every section mobile-first and fixed contrast, spacing and tap targets throughout.

Outcome

The site now reads like what it is — a coaching practice preparing young people for adulthood — and the path from landing on a page to talking with Tanisha is a single tap.

  • Consistent branding, navigation and contact details across every page.
  • Two custom WordPress plugins built in-house, with no ongoing third-party fees.
  • Events, ticketing and book sales all handled on the client’s own site.
  • Every page rebuilt mobile-first with accessibility addressed throughout.
